"We are who we are because of what we learn and what we remember."
Eric Kandel
The question
The learning process follows the following principle when using the "Toolbox":
Topic-specific information is collected on the basis of a question or task. This information is first organised and an overview of the various aspects of the topic is created.
First theses
Initial theses and assumptions about connections can then be created by differentiating and structuring the learning material relevant to the task with the help of the tools in the toolbox.
Deeper understanding
Fundamental patterns of thought and explanation can be represented in this way, acquired knowledge can be made connectable and cognitive learning can be activated. By establishing knowledge links between the individual learning contents, a deeper understanding is created and the acquired knowledge remains available in the long term.
Our Micro-Credential offer:
QUESTIONS - the learners ...
... recognise situations and facts and assess them,
understand problems,
derive solution-relevant questions,
structure information requirements according to scope and importance,
break down complexities and create subtasks if necessary,
plan and organise work processes.
SEARCHING - the learners ...
... make assumptions about promising locations and sources,
develop search strategies and apply them,
formulate appropriate search terms and can justify them,
use logical and semantic operators for their search queries,
find, select and save information.
VERIFYING - the learners ...
... verify information found by comparing (sources),
evaluate their research results on the basis of criteria such as probability, credibility, authorship, topicality, etc...
recognise and consider the contexts and intentions of information, reduce the amount and scope of information to a practicable size,
organise and hierarchise information in relation to the task.
CONNECT - learners ...
... cluster, structure and combine information,
recognise causalities and interactions,
establish and present connections,
reduce deficits and gaps,
co-operate and collaborate with other learners.
APPLY - the learners ...
... create solutions and test them in practice,
set up variants and compare and evaluate them,
summarise, prepare and present the results of their work,
discuss and review the solutions and approaches together,
take up external advice and use feedback constructively.
TRANSFER - the learners ...
... inductively generalise the solutions found,
develop routines for effective learning by acquiring and perfecting interdisciplinary
overarching competences,
react appropriately to variability, i.e. flexibly and creatively.

By 05/2024 we are expecting feedback from the Ministry to publish our results and take some steps to promote MC in Austrian AE. Possible next steps are online-publications like blog posts, live online discussions, or a conference together with partners. We see a need to develop and implement standards on the national level, find mutual agreements and talk about transsectoral recognition of MCs. Get in touch to find out about our activities.

DoxyChain provides secure software for the issuance and management of micro-credentials.
Our fully compliant, all-in-one platform allows Universities to:
- issue micro-credentials,
- e-sign them,
- manage them in real-time (eg. revoking, suspending),
- distribute them to students by transferring the ownership,
- store them in students' digital wallets,
- verify the validity and authenticity of micro-credentials.
We created our own, proprietary blockchain that is specialized for document management purposes. This approach ensures scalability, cost predictability, and transparency of the solution. We work with Polish universities on introducing micro-credentials to their offer and issue credentials in a secure, decentralized way.

I, as co-founder and CEO of DoxyChain, am working closely with Polish Universities and policymakers on creating a unified approach to micro-credentials that is compliant with EU norms, effective and meeting the market standards.
Our Micro-Credential offer:
At DoxyChain, we are leading technological innovation, partnering with universities across Poland to modernize higher education. We aim to integrate with the European Blockchain Services Infrastructure (EBSI) to help universities join the European network for micro-credentials.

Our current and future actions fall down to these categories:

Integration with EBSI:
We want to ensure secure that universities using our blockchain-based solution can participate in European network for micro-credentials. We believe in transborder verifiability, credibility and portability of micro-credentials, increasing recognition and acceptance by employers and educational institutions.

Providing support to the universities in the development of micro-credentials and promotion of lifelong learning:
As the regulatory landscape isn’t very unified yet, there’s a need for education on micro-credentials and the promotion of such approaches among policymakers, learners, professionals, and Universities. We do that by providing our learnings, connecting academic leaders, and collaborating with industry experts (such as EFMD) and academic institutions to design and deliver courses that meet workforce requirements.

Collaboration and Networking:
We want to establish partnerships with other European universities and educational platforms to exchange best practices and innovative solutions in micro-credentialing, as we believe that micro-credentials can bring a change only when there’s a dialog between providers.

We are committed to the new European micro-credential system and aim to contribute to its success. Our vision is to equip learners with the skills and knowledge they need for a dynamic job market, while helping universities transition to more flexible and responsive educational models.

Our school belonging to the company of Jesus, is a vocational training center with a trajectory of almost 80 years that provides training in the areas of health, chemistry and electronics.
In addition to conventional, regulated training, the centre promotes lifelong learning through courses aimed at jobseekers and active people who want to update their skills.
Our long trajectory allows us to have very close contact with the companies in our environment with which we actively collaborate, sending trainees, selecting suitable people for the jobs they offer or developing together with them technological innovation projects.
In addition, our centre has committed itself to the international dimension: all courses we send students to various European countries to carry out their training in business. Moreover, we also participate in projects with companies and institutions from other European countries, both in technical and humanitarian fields.
Among our objectives, as part of our mission, is to promote the excellence of our students, not only at the technical level, but in all aspects. Our goal as educators is to form men and women of competence, conscience, and compassionate commitment.
Our Micro-Credential offer:
At our center we haven't planned any micro-credential yet, but we understand that this is an interesting option to explore and design some future activity. In our case and given the areas in which we focus eccently, it might be interesting to design microcredentials to contribute specific and complementary knowledge to the output profile of our students or others with similar profiles.
